Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Power, Manufacturing and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MICEX lost 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the MICEX were Moskovskaya Birzha OAO (MCX:MOEX), which rose 3.56% or 4.45 points to trade at 129.44 at the close. Meanwhile, Akron (MCX:AKRN) added 3.30% or 115.0 points to end at 3600.0 and Trubnaya Metallurgicheskaya Kompaniya OAO (MCX:TRMK) was up 2.71% or 1.20 points to 45.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were MMK (MCX:MAGN), which fell 3.13% or 1.045 points to trade at 32.290 at the close. Magnit (MCX:MGNT) declined 2.80% or 303.0 points to end at 10532.0 and Rosseti ao (MCX:RSTI) was down 2.42% or 0.0223 points to 0.8980.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 118 to 106 and 23 ended unchanged.

The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MICEX options, was down 2.06% to 25.670.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.33% or 4.45 to $1351.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.40% or 0.64 to hit $46.38 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.22% or 0.59 to trade at $48.94 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 0.49% to 63.7300, while EUR/RUB rose 0.27% to 71.805.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.75% at 94.86.
