Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Power, Oil & Gas and Manufacturing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MICEX declined 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the MICEX were Aeroflot (MCX:AFLT), which rose 5.10% or 4.80 points to trade at 99.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Verhnesald MPO (MCX:VSMO) added 3.40% or 440.0 points to end at 13400.0 and ALROSA ao (MCX:ALRS) was up 2.38% or 1.760 points to 75.610 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Inter rao ees (MCX:IRAO), which fell 1.66% or 0.0470 points to trade at 2.7835 at the close. Rosseti ao (MCX:RSTI) declined 1.62% or 0.0153 points to end at 0.9301 and Moskovskaya Birzha OAO (MCX:MOEX) was down 1.29% or 1.71 points to 130.63.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 119 to 98 and 26 ended unchanged.

The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MICEX options, was down 0.92% to 28.000.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.54% or 7.15 to $1319.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.04% or 0.49 to hit $46.49 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.35% or 0.67 to trade at $48.78 a barrel.
USD/RUB was up 0.76% to 65.2535, while EUR/RUB rose 0.43% to 72.727.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.50% at 96.01.
