Investing.com – Russia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Power, Oil & Gas and Manufacturing sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Moscow, the MICEX added 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the MICEX were FSK EES (MCX:FEES), which rose 6.27% or 0.0108 points to trade at 0.1827 at the close. Meanwhile, Rosseti ao (MCX:RSTI) added 6.18% or 0.0675 points to end at 1.1600 and Tatneft-3 (MCX:TATN) was up 4.61% or 17.60 points to 399.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ANK Bashneft OAO Pref (MCX:BANE_p), which fell 3.32% or 45.5 points to trade at 1325.0 at the close. MVideo (MCX:MVID) declined 3.24% or 11.50 points to end at 343.40 and DIXY Group ao (MCX:DIXY) was down 2.49% or 7.80 points to 305.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 117 to 108 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in FSK EES (MCX:FEES) rose to 3-years highs; rising 6.27% or 0.0108 to 0.1827. Shares in ANK Bashneft OAO Pref (MCX:BANE_p) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.32% or 45.5 to 1325.0. Shares in Rosseti ao (MCX:RSTI) rose to 3-years highs; up 6.18% or 0.0675 to 1.1600. Shares in Tatneft-3 (MCX:TATN) rose to all time highs; up 4.61% or 17.60 to 399.55.
The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MICEX options, was down 1.57% to 26.300.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.04% or 0.45 to $1224.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.64% or 0.29 to hit $45.86 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.60% or 0.28 to trade at $46.91 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 0.48% to 64.4716, while EUR/RUB fell 0.71% to 68.644.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.31% at 100.69.
