Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 0.60% or 0.0010 points to trade at 0.1680 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) added 0.14% or 0.0010 points to end at 0.7070 and EDP (LS:EDP) was down 0.07% or 0.0020 points to 2.6970 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 3.01% or 0.0470 points to trade at 1.5150 at the close. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) declined 2.96% or 0.1090 points to end at 3.5700 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was down 2.50% or 0.1330 points to 5.1850.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 35 to 17 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.50% or 0.1330 to 5.1850.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.32% or 0.17 to $54.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.59% or 0.30 to hit $51.36 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.75% or 8.75 to trade at $1178.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.0671, while EUR/GBP fell 0.59% to 0.8418.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 100.82.
