Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 1.43% or 0.0020 points to trade at 0.1420 at the close. Meanwhile, Montepio (LS:MPIO) added 0.52% or 0.003 points to end at 0.580 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was up 0.21% or 0.0300 points to 14.2900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which fell 3.01% or 0.0012 points to trade at 0.0387 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) declined 1.86% or 0.116 points to end at 6.124 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 1.72% or 0.2100 points to 11.9950.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 32 to 13 and 9 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.90% or 0.43 to $47.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.48% or 0.22 to hit $45.81 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 2.10% or 26.60 to trade at $1293.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.77% to 1.1439, while EUR/GBP rose 0.67% to 0.7823.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.63% at 93.14.
