Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.96%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 2.24% or 0.0030 points to trade at 0.1370 at the close. Meanwhile, Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 0.90% or 0.056 points to end at 6.290 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 0.66% or 0.0420 points to 6.4110 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which fell 5.68% or 0.1960 points to trade at 3.2530 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 3.32% or 0.4000 points to end at 11.6500 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was down 3.08% or 0.0190 points to 0.5980.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 34 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 3.70% or 1.68 to $43.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.78% or 1.24 to hit $43.42 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 2.06% or 26.65 to trade at $1267.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1395, while EUR/GBP rose 0.14% to 0.7912.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 94.09.
