Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.91% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 4.97% or 0.0585 points to trade at 1.2355 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) added 1.59% or 0.0910 points to end at 5.8230 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was up 1.31% or 0.0090 points to 0.6940 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 3.19% or 0.0580 points to trade at 1.7610 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 2.98% or 0.0070 points to end at 0.2280 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 2.86% or 0.3400 points to 11.5450.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 37 to 11 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 2.53% or 1.16 to $44.68 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.62% or 1.17 to hit $43.49 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 2.64% or 33.45 to trade at $1232.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.0849, while EUR/GBP fell 0.90% to 0.8602.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 98.97.
