Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Consumer Services and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which rose 2.96% or 0.0180 points to trade at 0.6270 at the close. Meanwhile, The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) added 2.32% or 0.0620 points to end at 2.7400 and Banco BPI (LS:BBPI) was up 2.29% or 0.0260 points to 1.1620 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 5.28% or 0.0880 points to trade at 1.5800 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) declined 3.94% or 0.3230 points to end at 7.8760 and EDP (LS:EDP) was down 2.03% or 0.0590 points to 2.8430.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 25 to 20 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 1.52% or 0.74 to $47.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.38% or 0.67 to hit $47.74 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.36% or 4.45 to trade at $1248.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.14% to 1.1207, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.7742.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 95.33.
