Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 0.72% or 0.051 points to trade at 7.096 at the close. Meanwhile, J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 0.64% or 0.0900 points to end at 14.1850 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was up 0.54% or 0.0650 points to 12.1300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which fell 7.51% or 0.0016 points to trade at 0.0197 at the close. Sonae (LS:YSO) declined 2.56% or 0.0210 points to end at 0.8000 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was down 2.24% or 0.0130 points to 0.5670.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 28 to 18 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.52% or 0.77 to $49.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.54% or 0.77 to hit $49.19 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.63% or 21.00 to trade at $1271.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.55% to 1.1253, while EUR/GBP fell 0.32% to 0.7675.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.43% at 94.08.
