Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Utilities and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banif SA (LISBON:BANIF), which rose 1.67% or 0.0001 points to trade at 0.0060 at the close. Meanwhile, REN (LISBON:RENE) added 1.45% or 0.0395 points to end at 2.7705 and Galp Energia Nom (LISBON:GALP) was up 1.16% or 0.1175 points to 10.2425 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (LISBON:EDPRu), which fell 4.25% or 0.2880 points to trade at 6.4930 at the close. Mota Engil (LISBON:MOTA) declined 3.91% or 0.0860 points to end at 2.1150 and Pharol SGPS SA (LISBON:PHRA) was down 3.32% or 0.0100 points to 0.2910.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 37 to 26 and 1 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pharol SGPS SA (LISBON:PHRA) fell to all time lows; losing 3.32% or 0.0100 to 0.2910.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 1.14% or 0.56 to $48.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.05% or 0.47 to hit $44.19 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.28% or 3.10 to trade at $1093.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.34% to 1.0961, while EUR/GBP rose 0.60% to 0.7083.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 97.69.
