Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which rose 1.22% or 0.0320 points to trade at 2.6500 at the close. Meanwhile, J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 0.30% or 0.0450 points to end at 15.0050 and EDP (LS:EDP) was up 0.24% or 0.0070 points to 2.9240 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which fell 2.25% or 0.191 points to trade at 8.303 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 1.45% or 0.0230 points to end at 1.5590 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was down 1.27% or 0.0002 points to 0.0155.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 27 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) fell to all time lows; down 1.27% or 0.0002 to 0.0155.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.41% or 0.19 to $45.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.05% or 0.02 to hit $43.88 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.05% or 0.65 to trade at $1318.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.10% to 1.1164, while EUR/GBP rose 0.22% to 0.8597.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 95.89.
