Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 3.69% or 0.307 points to trade at 8.638 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) added 2.66% or 0.0170 points to end at 0.6570 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was up 2.27% or 0.0040 points to 0.1800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sonae (LS:YSO), which fell 1.70% or 0.0120 points to trade at 0.6950 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) declined 1.54% or 0.1100 points to end at 7.0130 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was down 0.69% or 0.1050 points to 15.1050.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 25 to 19 and 4 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for October delivery was up 2.51% or 1.18 to $48.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 2.56% or 1.14 to hit $45.63 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.22% or 2.95 to trade at $1346.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1185, while EUR/GBP rose 0.52% to 0.8689.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 95.58.
