Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which rose 1.41% or 0.0080 points to trade at 0.5750 at the close. Meanwhile, Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 1.28% or 0.091 points to end at 7.187 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was up 0.70% or 0.0850 points to 12.2150 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 25.78% or 0.0330 points to trade at 0.0950 at the close. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) declined 2.25% or 0.0720 points to end at 3.1300 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) was down 1.54% or 0.0420 points to 2.6800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 30 to 16 and 6 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.50% or 0.76 to $49.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.44% or 0.72 to hit $49.13 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.18% or 2.35 to trade at $1270.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.60% to 1.1308, while EUR/GBP rose 0.22% to 0.7689.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.47% at 93.72.
