Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.20%.

The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 5.48% or 0.0008 points to trade at 0.0154 at the close. Meanwhile, Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 2.34% or 0.198 points to end at 8.660 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was up 1.19% or 0.0080 points to 0.6810 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which fell 1.25% or 0.0770 points to trade at 6.0650 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 0.97% or 0.1150 points to end at 11.7250 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was down 0.94% or 0.1450 points to 15.3300.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 32 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged.

Shares in CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.25% or 0.0770 to 6.0650. Shares in Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) rose to all time highs; up 2.34% or 0.198 to 8.660.

Brent oil for December delivery was up 3.23% or 1.50 to $47.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.55% or 1.58 to hit $46.06 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.17% or 2.30 to trade at $1344.00 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was up 0.26% to 1.1256, while EUR/GBP rose 0.12% to 0.8677.

The US Dollar Index was down 0.23% at 95.19.
