Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 1.85% or 0.0310 points to trade at 1.7090 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 0.65% or 0.0001 points to end at 0.0154 and REN (LS:RENE) was up 0.58% or 0.0150 points to 2.6030 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which fell 1.95% or 0.0510 points to trade at 2.5600 at the close. Semapa (LS:SEM) declined 1.56% or 0.1800 points to end at 11.3850 and Montepio (LS:MPIO) was down 1.54% or 0.007 points to 0.447.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 28 to 21 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Montepio (LS:MPIO) fell to all time lows; down 1.54% or 0.007 to 0.447.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.58% or 0.29 to $50.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.65% or 0.31 to hit $48.14 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.47% or 6.25 to trade at $1319.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.1229, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.8649.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 95.42.
