Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 5.01% or 0.315 points to trade at 6.600 at the close. Meanwhile, Montepio (LS:MPIO) added 1.41% or 0.008 points to end at 0.577 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 1.15% or 0.0920 points to 8.0670 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which fell 2.04% or 0.0580 points to trade at 2.7830 at the close. Sonae (LS:YSO) declined 1.92% or 0.0180 points to end at 0.9190 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was down 1.50% or 0.0020 points to 0.1310.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 25 to 21 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.67% or 0.32 to $47.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.16% or 0.54 to hit $46.16 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.11% or 1.40 to trade at $1272.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.70% to 1.1296, while EUR/GBP rose 0.20% to 0.7861.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.62% at 94.69.
