Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Consumer Services and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 3.05% or 0.0040 points to trade at 0.1350 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) added 1.98% or 0.0350 points to end at 1.7990 and REN (LS:RENE) was up 0.68% or 0.0180 points to 2.6620 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semapa (LS:SEM), which fell 2.13% or 0.2400 points to trade at 11.0050 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 0.93% or 0.0003 points to end at 0.0320 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was down 0.89% or 0.1300 points to 14.4000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 25 to 22 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.87% or 0.43 to $49.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.61% or 0.30 to hit $49.18 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.59% or 7.20 to trade at $1213.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.52% to 1.1136, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.7611.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.40% at 95.52.
