Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 1.39%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which rose 2.84% or 0.1670 points to trade at 6.0370 at the close. Meanwhile, Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 2.65% or 0.1520 points to end at 5.8900 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was up 2.31% or 0.0700 points to 3.0980 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco BPI (LS:BBPI), which fell 0.18% or 0.0020 points to trade at 1.1270 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) unchanged 0.00% or 0.0000 points to end at 0.2520 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was 0.00% or 0.0000 points to 0.0154.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 38 to 8 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.67% or 0.35 to $51.68 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.65% or 0.33 to hit $50.11 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.09% or 1.15 to trade at $1256.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.60% to 1.0992, while EUR/GBP fell 0.11% to 0.9013.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.39% at 97.91.
