Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Consumer Services and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 3.97% or 0.0050 points to trade at 0.1310 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP (LS:EDP) added 2.06% or 0.0600 points to end at 2.9700 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was up 1.40% or 0.2000 points to 14.5300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which fell 2.12% or 0.0007 points to trade at 0.0323 at the close. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 2.06% or 0.0130 points to end at 0.6190 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was down 1.76% or 0.124 points to 6.926.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 30 to 17 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.04% or 0.02 to $49.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.18% or 0.09 to hit $49.47 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.38% or 4.60 to trade at $1219.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.14% to 1.1170, while EUR/GBP rose 0.49% to 0.7628.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 95.31.
