Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 3.17% or 0.0012 points to trade at 0.0390 at the close. Meanwhile, Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 2.90% or 0.0040 points to end at 0.1420 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) was up 1.69% or 0.1140 points to 6.8640 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 2.20% or 0.0420 points to trade at 1.8640 at the close. Banco BPI (LS:BBPI) declined 1.83% or 0.0200 points to end at 1.0750 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was down 1.67% or 0.0570 points to 3.3560.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 23 to 23 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was down 1.33% or 0.61 to $45.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.04% or 0.46 to hit $43.72 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.15% or 1.90 to trade at $1252.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.1299, while EUR/GBP rose 0.06% to 0.7885.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 94.53.
