Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Financials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 5.37% or 0.419 points to trade at 8.217 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) added 2.96% or 0.0190 points to end at 0.6600 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was up 2.22% or 0.0004 points to 0.0184 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sonae (LS:YSO), which fell 2.14% or 0.0160 points to trade at 0.7320 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 1.30% or 0.1700 points to end at 12.8600 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was down 1.03% or 0.0180 points to 1.7330.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 31 to 19 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 2.64% or 1.24 to $45.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.75% or 1.23 to hit $43.47 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.45% or 5.85 to trade at $1317.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.36% to 1.1197, while EUR/GBP fell 0.73% to 0.8431.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.37% at 95.65.
