Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Energy, Banking and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 1.81% to hit a new all time low.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER), which rose 3.37% or 1.55 points to trade at 47.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) added 1.23% or 0.35 points to end at 28.85 and Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) was up 1.10% or 0.75 points to 68.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Energa SA (WA:ENGP), which fell 5.53% or 0.79 points to trade at 13.50 at the close. Enea SA (WA:ENAE) declined 4.42% or 0.54 points to end at 11.68 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) was down 4.14% or 0.12 points to 2.78.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 375 to 187 and 103 ended unchanged.
Shares in Energa SA (WA:ENGP) fell to all time lows; falling 5.53% or 0.79 to 13.50. Shares in Enea SA (WA:ENAE) fell to 3-years lows; falling 4.42% or 0.54 to 11.68. Shares in Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) fell to all time lows; falling 4.14% or 0.12 to 2.78.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 3.38% or 1.41 to $43.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 3.40% or 1.52 to hit $46.35 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.87% or 9.30 to trade at $1076.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.18% to 4.2604, while USD/PLN fell 0.01% to 3.9977.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 99.59.
