Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Media, Construction and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were LPP SA (WA:LPPP), which rose 2.48% or 139.00 points to trade at 5745.00 at the close. Meanwhile, PKO Bank Polski SA (WA:PKO) added 2.00% or 0.51 points to end at 26.01 and Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) was up 1.70% or 0.40 points to 23.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW), which fell 3.85% or 2.76 points to trade at 68.89 at the close. PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) declined 2.49% or 0.27 points to end at 10.57 and ING Bank Śląski SA (WA:INGP) was down 1.78% or 2.50 points to 138.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 267 to 261 and 191 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.02% or 0.01 to $50.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.41% or 0.21 to hit $51.59 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.11% or 1.35 to trade at $1266.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.17% to 4.3274, while USD/PLN rose 0.70% to 3.9809.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.44% at 98.72.
