Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Mining & Oil, Property and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 1.06%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Gt Capital Hol (PS:GTCAP), which rose 0.15% or 2.000 points to trade at 1343.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Aboitiz Equity (PS:AEV) added 0.09% or 0.050 points to end at 58.000 and Phi Long Dis T (PS:TEL) was down 0.14% or 4.00 points to 2798.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM), which fell 4.27% or 0.390 points to trade at 8.750 at the close. Lt Group (PS:LTG) declined 3.52% or 0.480 points to end at 13.160 and Globe Telecom (PS:GLO) was down 3.30% or 82.000 points to 2400.000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 134 to 35 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold for August delivery was down 0.31% or 3.60 to $1164.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.27% or 0.70 to hit $54.81 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.32% or 0.80 to trade at $59.52 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.09% to 7.2692, while USD/PHP rose 0.14% to 45.130.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 96.39.
