Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Services, Holding Firms and Mining & Oil sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite lost 0.65% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC), which rose 2.76% or 5.800 points to trade at 215.800 at the close. Meanwhile, DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) added 2.58% or 0.340 points to end at 13.500 and Petron Corp (PS:PCOR) was up 2.09% or 0.190 points to 9.300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PLDT Inc (PS:TEL), which fell 6.36% or 86.00 points to trade at 1266.00 at the close. Metro Pacific Investments Corp (PS:MPI) declined 3.73% or 0.240 points to end at 6.200 and Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) was down 3.38% or 0.900 points to 25.750.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 119 to 58 and 49 ended unchanged.
Shares in PLDT Inc (PS:TEL) fell to 3-years lows; losing 6.36% or 86.00 to 1266.00.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.19% or 2.30 to $1188.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.59% or 0.28 to hit $46.80 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.75% or 0.37 to trade at $48.84 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.37% to 7.2218, while USD/PHP rose 0.06% to 49.760.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 101.35.
