Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Holding Firms, Property and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 2.01%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Petron Corp (PS:PCOR), which rose 2.93% or 0.290 points to trade at 10.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) added 1.37% or 1.5000 points to end at 110.8000 and First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN) was up 0.40% or 0.10 points to 25.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC), which fell 6.73% or 0.820 points to trade at 11.360 at the close. Metro Pacific Investments Corp (PS:MPI) declined 4.69% or 0.320 points to end at 6.510 and Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV) was down 3.72% or 2.900 points to 75.100.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 98 to 81 and 47 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.02% or 0.25 to $1318.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.96% or 0.42 to hit $43.49 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.99% or 0.46 to trade at $46.13 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.42% to 7.1743, while USD/PHP rose 0.34% to 47.860.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 95.36.
