Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Property, Industrials and Holding Firms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.52% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Semirara Minin (PS:SCC), which rose 2.45% or 4.0000 points to trade at 167.0000 at the close. Meanwhile, Ayala Land (PS:ALI) added 2.39% or 0.900 points to end at 38.500 and Jollibee Foods (PS:JFC) was up 2.33% or 5.000 points to 220.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Intl Container (PS:ICT), which fell 2.26% or 2.500 points to trade at 108.000 at the close. Philex Mining (PS:PX) declined 1.62% or 0.120 points to end at 7.280 and Robinsons Land (PS:RLC) was down 1.60% or 0.500 points to 30.800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 111 to 84 and 14 ended unchanged.

Gold for June delivery was down 0.38% or 4.50 to $1180.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 2.12% or 1.03 to hit $47.65 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 1.65% or 0.93 to trade at $55.36 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.10% to 7.2126, while USD/PHP fell 0.24% to 44.700.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.56% at 98.86.
