Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Services, Mining & Oil and Holding Firms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Intl Container (PS:ICT), which rose 3.37% or 3.000 points to trade at 92.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Aboitiz Equity (PS:AEV) added 3.32% or 1.850 points to end at 57.550 and Philex Mining (PS:PX) was up 2.33% or 0.120 points to 5.280 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Energy Develop (PS:EDC), which fell 3.07% or 0.190 points to trade at 6.000 at the close. Sm Prime Hldgs (PS:SMPH) declined 1.71% or 0.340 points to end at 19.500 and Ayala Land (PS:ALI) was down 1.10% or 0.400 points to 36.000.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 112 to 69 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.16% or 1.80 to $1131.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $46.25 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.34% or 0.17 to trade at $50.33 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.05% to 7.3609, while USD/PHP rose 0.05% to 46.785.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 95.86.
