Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Mining and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 1.35%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi), which rose 15.00% or 0.045 points to trade at 0.345 at the close. Meanwhile, Atacocha (LM:ATB) added 13.33% or 0.020 points to end at 0.170 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was up 12.12% or 0.520 points to 4.810 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.06 at the close. Intergroup (LM:IFS) declined 4.94% or 1.300 points to end at 25.000 and Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) was down 4.85% or 0.500 points to 9.800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 18 to 15 and 2 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 6.30% or 2.85 to $48.07 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 5.80% or 2.90 to hit $52.95 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.03% or 0.30 to trade at $1134.30 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 1.66% to 3.2264, while EUR/PEN fell 2.28% to 3.6164.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 95.96.
