Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Services and Electricity sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) added 1.27% or 0.060 points to end at 4.800 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was up 1.19% or 0.010 points to 0.850 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Relapasa (LM:REL), which fell 9.09% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.220 at the close. Sider (LM:SID) declined 8.18% or 0.018 points to end at 0.202 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) was down 2.72% or 0.700 points to 25.000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 19 to 7 and 8 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.10% or 0.06 to $57.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.17% or 1.39 to hit $62.32 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1188.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.16% to 3.1545, while EUR/PEN fell 0.22% to 3.4298.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 97.34.
