Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which rose 11.11% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Minera Irl (LM:IRL) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 0.09 and Intergroup (LM:IFS) was up 2.29% or 0.660 points to 29.460 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Panoro (LM:PML), which unchanged 0% or 0 points to trade at 0.110 at the close. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 7.41% or 0.060 points to end at 0.750 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was down 2.65% or 0.150 points to 5.500.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 20 to 5 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Panoro (LM:PML) unchanged to 3-years lows; unchanged 0% or 0 to 0.110. Shares in Trevali Mining (LM:TV) fell to 52-week lows; down 7.41% or 0.060 to 0.750.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.55% or 0.33 to $60.07 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.25% or 0.81 to hit $63.84 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.54% or 6.40 to trade at $1185.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.23% to 3.1620, while EUR/PEN rose 0.30% to 3.5388.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.18% at 95.06.
