Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Bco Continenta (LM:CON), which rose 2.50% or 0.080 points to trade at 3.280 at the close. Meanwhile, Alicorp (LM:ALI) added 2.22% or 0.100 points to end at 4.600 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) was up 2.10% or 2.250 points to 109.250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which fell 17.46% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.05 at the close. Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) declined 6.12% or 0.030 points to end at 0.460 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was down 5.88% or 0.010 points to 0.160.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 11 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.29% or 0.59 to $46.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.50% or 0.25 to hit $50.75 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.79% or 8.90 to trade at $1124.70 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.04% to 3.2548, while EUR/PEN fell 0.32% to 3.6516.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.47% at 96.33.
