Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, S&P Lima Juniors and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Sider (LM:SID), which rose 5.53% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.210 at the close. Meanwhile, Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) added 1.85% or 0.003 points to end at 0.165 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was up 1.10% or 0.010 points to 0.920 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Panoro (LM:PML), which fell 7.14% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.130 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 1.54% or 0.080 points to end at 5.130 and Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG) was down 1.26% or 0.020 points to 1.570.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 15 to 12 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.28% or 0.74 to $58.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.23% or 0.79 to hit $64.81 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.20% or 2.40 to trade at $1209.10 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.05% to 3.1515, while EUR/PEN fell 0.98% to 3.5000.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.30% at 95.66.
