Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Mining, Electricity and Agriculture sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General declined 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Unacem (LM:CEL), which rose 1.73% or 0.040 points to trade at 2.350 at the close. Meanwhile, Alicorp (LM:ALI) added 1.67% or 0.100 points to end at 6.100 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) was up 1.59% or 0.350 points to 22.350 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sider (LM:SID), which fell 6.67% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.140 at the close. Milpo (LM:MIL) declined 5.10% or 0.100 points to end at 1.860 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) was down 4.44% or 0.200 points to 4.300.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 5 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sider (LM:SID) fell to all time lows; losing 6.67% or 0.010 to 0.140. Shares in Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) fell to 3-years lows; falling 4.44% or 0.200 to 4.300.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.84% or 0.48 to $57.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $63.45 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.67% or 8.10 to trade at $1195.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.51% to 3.1100, while EUR/PEN fell 0.73% to 3.3544.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.55% at 98.16.
