Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 1.07%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Credicorp (LM:BAP), which rose 5.71% or 8.410 points to trade at 155.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 2.12% or 0.120 points to end at 5.770 and Intergroup (LM:IFS) was up 0.81% or 0.250 points to 31.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Panoro (LM:PML), which fell 3.64% or 0.004 points to trade at 0.106 at the close. Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) declined 2.78% or 0.500 points to end at 17.500 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was down 2.71% or 0.350 points to 12.570.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 10 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.23% or 0.55 to $44.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.70% or 0.79 to hit $45.56 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.19% or 2.50 to trade at $1305.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.33% to 3.3885, while EUR/PEN fell 0.05% to 3.7514.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.26% at 96.94.
