Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Mining and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minsur (LM:MINi), which rose 6.67% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.800 at the close. Meanwhile, Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) added 6.18% or 0.990 points to end at 17.000 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was up 3.45% or 0.005 points to 0.150 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA), which fell 4.93% or 0.190 points to trade at 3.660 at the close. Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) declined 2.22% or 0.010 points to end at 0.440 and Unacem (LM:CEL) was down 2.14% or 0.040 points to 1.830.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 20 to 7 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) fell to 3-years lows; falling 4.93% or 0.190 to 3.660.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.16% or 0.07 to $45.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.86% or 0.41 to hit $47.95 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.18% or 2.00 to trade at $1113.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.20% to 3.2340, while EUR/PEN fell 0.69% to 3.6031.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 96.34.
