Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 13.64% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.250 at the close. Meanwhile, Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 7.78% or 0.350 points to end at 4.850 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was up 5.26% or 0.030 points to 0.600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which fell 5.13% or 0.200 points to trade at 3.900 at the close. Milpo (LM:MIL) declined 3.91% or 0.070 points to end at 1.720 and Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) was down 2.94% or 0.005 points to 0.165.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 12 to 11 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.74% or 1.15 to $42.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.87% or 1.28 to hit $46.12 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.79% or 8.40 to trade at $1075.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.43% to 3.3803, while EUR/PEN rose 0.61% to 3.5989.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 99.68.
