Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Mining, Food & Beverages and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Unacem (LM:CEL), which rose 3.92% or 0.100 points to trade at 2.650 at the close. Meanwhile, Panoro (LM:PML) added 3.57% or 0.005 points to end at 0.145 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was up 2.70% or 0.040 points to 1.520 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which fell 5.21% or 0.250 points to trade at 4.550 at the close. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 2.80% or 0.320 points to end at 11.090 and Sider (LM:SID) was down 2.78% or 0.010 points to 0.350.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 12 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Minsur (LM:MINi) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.70% or 0.040 to 1.520.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.17% or 0.08 to $47.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.41% or 0.20 to hit $48.92 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.89% or 22.95 to trade at $1188.25 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.66% to 3.4407, while EUR/PEN fell 0.12% to 3.6302.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.65% at 101.75.
