Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Mining and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 4.04% or 0.013 points to trade at 0.335 at the close. Meanwhile, Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 2.67% or 0.020 points to end at 0.770 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) was up 2.11% or 0.57 points to 27.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which fell 7.97% or 0.110 points to trade at 1.270 at the close. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) declined 2.02% or 0.004 points to end at 0.194 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was down 1.75% or 0.010 points to 0.560.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 15 to 11 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.32% or 1.20 to $50.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $51.40 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.31% or 3.90 to trade at $1266.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3810, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7117.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.43% at 98.29.
