Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Mining, Banking & Financials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General gained 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 4.82% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.870 at the close. Meanwhile, Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 3.47% or 0.360 points to end at 10.720 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was up 2.72% or 0.004 points to 0.151 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ferreyros (LM:FER), which fell 0.72% or 0.010 points to trade at 1.380 at the close. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 0.67% or 0.001 points to end at 0.148 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) was down 0.43% or 0.020 points to 4.610.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 11 to 6 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) fell to 52-week lows; down 0.43% or 0.020 to 4.610.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.70% or 0.86 to $51.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 2.36% or 1.33 to hit $57.91 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.20% or 14.30 to trade at $1207.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.77% to 3.1280, while EUR/PEN fell 1.30% to 3.2972.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.42% at 99.67.
