Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Mining and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General gained 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Sider (LM:SID), which rose 7.14% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.150 at the close. Meanwhile, Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 5.36% or 0.030 points to end at 0.590 and Milpo (LM:MIL) was up 2.07% or 0.040 points to 1.970 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cerro Verde (LM:CVE), which fell 2.04% or 0.480 points to trade at 23.000 at the close. Casa Grande (LM:CSG) declined 1.75% or 0.090 points to end at 5.060 and Inretail Peru (LM:INR) was down 1.64% or 0.250 points to 15.000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 9 to 9 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Casa Grande (LM:CSG) fell to 3-years lows; down 1.75% or 0.090 to 5.060.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.40% or 1.35 to $57.51 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 3.35% or 2.10 to hit $64.83 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.59% or 7.00 to trade at $1193.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.03% to 3.1325, while EUR/PEN fell 0.27% to 3.3642.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.82% at 97.43.
