Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Materials and Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.97%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE), which rose 7.50% or 2.8 points to trade at 40.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC) added 2.39% or 0.03 points to end at 1.37 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) was up 2.07% or 1.00 points to 49.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yara International ASA (OSLO:YAR), which fell 4.20% or 15.5 points to trade at 353.8 at the close. Bw Lpg (OSLO:BWLPG) declined 3.57% or 1.90 points to end at 51.30 and Schibsted ASA A (OSLO:SBSTA) was down 3.30% or 8.9 points to 261.2.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 129 to 46 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 7.87% or 3.87 to $45.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 8.71% or 4.71 to hit $49.44 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.63% or 7.10 to trade at $1139.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.91% to 9.3658, while USD/NOK rose 0.13% to 8.2917.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.53% at 95.45.
