Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Energy, Software & Computer Services and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 1.27%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which rose 3.97% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.73 at the close. Meanwhile, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo) added 1.04% or 6.0 points to end at 584.5 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OSLO:TGS) was up 0.46% or 0.9 points to 194.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS), which fell 4.37% or 2.18 points to trade at 49.88 at the close. Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA) declined 4.22% or 2.90 points to end at 65.90 and Subsea 7 SA (OSLO:SUBC) was down 4.11% or 3.5 points to 80.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 119 to 61 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.70% or 1.61 to $58.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.95% or 1.94 to hit $63.59 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.44% or 17.40 to trade at $1187.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.51% to 8.4333, while USD/NOK rose 1.44% to 7.7543.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.97% at 97.39.
