Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Energy, Materials and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.11%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 3.89% or 0.06 points to trade at 1.57 at the close. Meanwhile, Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) added 1.22% or 1.8 points to end at 149.8 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was up 0.39% or 0.30 points to 76.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which fell 4.93% or 1.4 points to trade at 26.6 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 3.99% or 0.82 points to end at 19.75 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was down 3.96% or 0.36 points to 8.61.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 107 to 66 and 21 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.88% or 0.84 to $43.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.86% or 0.86 to hit $45.34 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.64% or 8.55 to trade at $1322.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.15% to 9.3795, while USD/NOK rose 0.74% to 8.5562.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.62% at 97.54.
