Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.03%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 1.79% or 0.5 points to trade at 27.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 1.01% or 0.24 points to end at 24.04 and Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) was up 0.75% or 0.50 points to 67.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 6.78% or 0.49 points to trade at 6.74 at the close. Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) declined 4.04% or 0.4 points to end at 9.5 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was down 2.64% or 0.05 points to 1.88.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 97 to 77 and 21 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.07% or 0.53 to $49.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.52% or 0.26 to hit $50.62 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1217.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.25% to 9.3181, while USD/NOK rose 0.26% to 8.3665.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 95.78.
