Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Auto & components and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.00% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA), which rose 2.80% or 1.50 points to trade at 55.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) added 1.64% or 0.6 points to end at 37.2 and Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) was up 0.47% or 0.1 points to 10.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO), which fell 4.27% or 0.33 points to trade at 7.39 at the close. Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) declined 4.18% or 1.96 points to end at 44.90 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OSLO:NHY) was down 2.81% or 0.82 points to 28.37.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 132 to 44 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) fell to 3-years lows; losing 4.27% or 0.33 to 7.39. Shares in Norsk Hydro ASA (OSLO:NHY) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.81% or 0.82 to 28.37.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.94% or 1.70 to $41.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 3.33% or 1.62 to hit $47.19 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.98% or 11.00 to trade at $1127.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 1.15% to 9.2381, while USD/NOK rose 0.86% to 8.3522.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 96.89.
