Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Energy, Auto & components and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 2.34% or 6.1 points to trade at 266.5 at the close. Meanwhile, SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) added 0.72% or 1.90 points to end at 266.40 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) was up 0.39% or 0.60 points to 154.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which fell 6.42% or 1.4 points to trade at 21.1 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) declined 3.74% or 1.37 points to end at 35.24 and Statoil ASA (OL:STL) was down 3.19% or 4.6 points to 138.1.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 134 to 81 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) rose to all time highs; rising 0.39% or 0.60 to 154.70.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 3.57% or 1.68 to $45.40 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 3.43% or 1.69 to hit $47.52 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.32% or 3.80 to trade at $1187.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.20% to 9.0819, while USD/NOK rose 0.07% to 8.5440.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 101.14.
