Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Auto & components and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.79% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo), which rose 1.42% or 9.0 points to trade at 644.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC) added 1.23% or 4.0 points to end at 328.0 and Marine Harvest ASA (OSLO:MHG) was up 0.50% or 0.45 points to 91.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Subsea 7 SA (OSLO:SUBC), which fell 6.02% or 4.5 points to trade at 70.3 at the close. DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) declined 5.31% or 0.52 points to end at 9.27 and Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) was down 4.85% or 0.7 points to 12.8.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 129 to 48 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.31% or 0.52 to 9.27. Shares in Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) fell to all time lows; falling 4.85% or 0.7 to 12.8.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.45% or 0.77 to $52.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.76% or 0.43 to hit $56.73 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.99% or 11.60 to trade at $1155.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.78% to 8.9978, while USD/NOK rose 1.78% to 8.2195.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.83% at 97.23.
