Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Banking and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 4.75% or 1.8 points to trade at 39.1 at the close. Meanwhile, DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 4.56% or 0.41 points to end at 9.29 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) was up 2.42% or 1.70 points to 71.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which fell 4.16% or 2.10 points to trade at 48.40 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) declined 3.13% or 1.00 points to end at 30.90 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was down 2.37% or 2.5 points to 103.1.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 103 to 67 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.42% or 1.70 to 71.90.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.59% or 0.27 to $45.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.09% or 0.52 to hit $47.25 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 2.03% or 25.75 to trade at $1292.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.09% to 9.2297, while USD/NOK fell 0.85% to 8.0670.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.65% at 93.12.
