Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Energy and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 17.70% or 1.00 points to trade at 6.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) added 3.98% or 1.3 points to end at 34.0 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) was up 3.09% or 0.8 points to 28.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which fell 4.57% or 0.42 points to trade at 8.66 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) declined 2.30% or 0.78 points to end at 33.08 and Statoil ASA (OL:STL) was down 2.17% or 3.0 points to 135.1.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 94 to 83 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.53% or 0.26 to $49.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.85% or 0.42 to hit $49.17 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.63% or 7.65 to trade at $1212.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.09% to 9.2730, while USD/NOK rose 0.61% to 8.3268.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.38% at 95.50.
